Fun and Festivity at Claremont Lodge Care Home
It was an exciting festive period for the residents at Claremont Lodge Care Home, our nursing home in West Sussex, which saw everyone fully embrace the festive spirit and have a fantastic time. Some of the activities enjoyed by our residents included:
- A short trip up the road to visit The Old Stables pub & restaurant, next to the incredibly picturesque Fontwell Park Racecourse, during which everybody tucked into a delicious Christmas lunch.
- A visit to Haskins Roundstone Garden Centre for a browse in their dedicated Christmas department while viewing their amazing Christmas displays. This was of course followed by a stop in their onsite coffee shop to enjoy a tea or coffee & a sweet treat.
- Two wonderful carol services performed by local schools. Firstly a visit from the pupils of Great Ballard School who put on a lovely performance for the residents. This was followed by a trip to St Philip Howard Catholic School to take in their delightful carol service as well.
- An afternoon of fun and magic courtesy of Dave the Magician. Something a little different for the residents and the entertainment was second to none. Thankfully everybody survived with nobody vanishing or being sawed in half!
