Claremont Lodge help raise money with Mick's March

Congratulations to Laura (plus Laura's husband Chris) and Jess our activity coordinators at Claremont lodge for walking 25 miles with zimmer frames and wheelchairs to raise £450 for a local charity event called Micks March, which was held from 4th July to 14th July 2017.

The activities team were inspired by the efforts of 4 local men who have taken on the challenge to walk 1000 miles in 10 days, equalling the Guinness world record. Not only a physical challenge but also a mental one as the March is walking around the local primary school field! Day and night the team are walking in 3 hourly slots, individually walking 25 miles per day! The girls walked 150 laps!

All money raised is going towards the Snowdrop Trust and Aldingbourne Primary School PTA. The Micks March team visited Claremont's Summer fete and met the residents and took part in the tug of war. A fantastic community event to be a part of.
